started his design career as a professional cabinet maker.
The experience of several years in furniture construction formed the technical basics evolving into a serious interest on design focussed work during a period of booth design construction.
An advanced training in „design for craftsmen“ was the catalyst to head for the design studies.
With the diploma in product design in 2003 he started to get involved in consumer electronics, furniture and transportation design in Nuremberg and Kassel, Germany.
He continued his design experience in the furniture business over the years 2004 to 2010 at the Vogtherr Design Studio in Mulhouse, France and at Sedus Stoll AG in Waldshut, Germany.
From 2018 to 2021 he supported the Thonet GmbH in Frankenberg, Germany as a designer, team leader, and project manager in product development.
Since 2011 Markus leads his own design studio in Kassel, Germany.
